keep the adoptable dogs safe and Fast Friends operating

At Fast Friends, the dogs come before anything else. To help as many as possible, we use the funds you give us very carefully, and take the best care of what we purchase.

The kennels the dogs stay in while they wait for homes are 6-foot by 6-foot enclosures. We have repainted and maintained them well and they have actually lasted for years beyond their intended lifespan. Unfortunately, they are deteriorating rapidly, and we can’t make any more repairs. The kennels need to be replaced now so that the dogs do not hurt themselves and their living spaces can be kept properly clean and sanitized.

In our most recent inspection, our regulating authority indicated that they would not renew our operating license with the current kennels. We were able to make satisfactory repairs that got us through one more year, but we absolutely MUST replace our kennels right now if we want to remain in compliance and continue helping dogs.

Since the previous kennels served us so well and lasted so long, we reached out to the same company for a quote. We had intended to spend the summer fundraising, but with the steel and aluminum tariffs looming, we need to place the order NOW before the price skyrockets. Every dollar we spend on the kennels is a dollar we aren’t able to spend on food, vaccines, transportation costs, and all the other expenses needed to bring dogs to Fast Friends and find them homes. 

The kennel manufacturer is holding a discounted, pre-tariff price for us, but we need to place the order WITH PAYMENT immediately. Several of our dedicated supporters have already pledged donations, and we have applied for multiple grants, but we still have a large outstanding amount to raise that is just not in our budget.
