FOSTER a Greyhound

Every greyhound deserves a loving home that will be theirs forever.

Our foster program is designed for greyhounds who need a little extra help adjusting to retirement, so they can be ready when the perfect forever family comes along.

The greyhounds in our foster program are older, timid, or have a medical condition that needs special monitoring. Foster families give these greyhounds the opportunity to gain confidence and adjust to a home environment, ultimately enhancing their chance to be adopted.

Being a foster family isn't for everyone. You will sacrifice a piece of your heart each time one of your foster greyhounds goes to their forever home, but the gift is in the goodbye. Fostering is a lesson in unselfish love.

If you are interested in learning more, please call Sharron Thomas at 603-355-1556.

Fostering Lauren [featured on this page] has been a wonderful experience. We knew the timid, scared little girl she was at Fast Friends before we started fostering her. In the last year we have watched her go from being afraid of most people to a very confident, playful, affectionate, and loving member of our family, giving hugs and kisses to us and our other greyhound Mikie.

”Fostering a greyhound is a learning, teaching, and most of all rewarding experience. Just watching the changes from being scared to being confident and knowing there is more to experience every day.

It has been our absolute pleasure having Jacoby as our foster boy. He has fit into our family so well! He is such a happy boy and he is just so content being in a home.
