Faith and Kara Need Your Help
You can change their lives
Faith and Kara both needed surgery, and we couldn't say no.
FAITH was a healthy, happy two-and-a-half year old. She had never had any issues or problems of any kind, so we were very surprised when her health began to rapidly deteriorate. We rushed her to Tufts Veterinary Hospital where she was diagnosed with meningitis and Ehrlichia, a disease spread by ticks.
Faith needed emergency surgery for complications, and has lost a frightening amount of weight throughout her ordeal.
She is currently recovering from surgery at Tufts, where they are working on a plan to help her on the long road to recovery.
KARA, one of our 5 China Greys, had a broken front leg when she was rescued. She had an initial surgery in China to implant a specially-made plate and spent many months with a special orthopedic vet there.
Since arriving at Fast Friends, Kara has stopped using that leg almost entirely. She is scheduled for additional surgery to repair the leg.
Fast Friends believes that every Greyhound deserves a happy, pain-free life. We do everything in our power to make sure each Greyhound in need has the absolute highest quality of care to give them the best chance at a wonderful life.
Veterinary bills for Faith and Kara are quite high and have drained our medical fund. Please make a gift today to help them get the care they need and give them the chance at the life they are destined to lead.
